Jennifer Borkowski
Jennifer Borkowski is an interdisciplinary artist, flutist, researcher, and pedagogue whose work occupies a distinctive position at the intersection of classical music performance, sport science, physiology, and educational theory. Grounded in an extensive international performance career and a rigorous academic foundation, her practice approaches artistic work as a form of inquiry that unfolds through performance, research, public speaking, and teaching. Central to Borkowski’s work is an investigation of embodiment, endurance, and sustainable performance, with a particular focus on how physical awareness and cognitive processes shape artistic practice. She holds a PhD (Dr. phil.) in Instrumental (Vocal) Pedagogy from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where her doctoral research examined extended techniques for flute as a bridge between cognitive and kinaesthetic learning in higher education. Through her integrated roles as performer and scholar, Borkowski contributes to contemporary discourse on how musicians train, perform, and sustain artistic excellence over time.
